INSIGHT FOR MARITAL BLISS

 

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh (Ephesians 5 :31).

 There are five (5) most important things in life God, you, your family, carrier and relationships. When your marriage is sound, it reveals on others. The bible says in Genesis 1:27-28 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…”

Marriage is a gift from God to humanity, when you lose marital honor you lose public dignity. No matter how rich and busy you are, you will not sleep in the office, except something is wrong with you. You still come back home. There is a saying that how you lay your bed is how you lay on it. Marriage is good depending on how you build it. Marriage is a covenant between a mature man and woman through which they seek to give, receive satisfaction and fulfilment of their destiny.

Singles, kindly note that before you go into marriage you need to know that:

·     It is not marriage that completes you.

·     If you are not fulfilled as a single, you will not be fulfilled in the marriage.

·     Work on yourself and be prepared for marriage.

There will not be no problem in marriage if we are prepared for marriage the way we prepare for the wedding.

 

Wrong Reasons Why People Get Married

               i.          I am old enough:

Your biological age does not qualify you for marriage but maturity does.

*     Spiritual maturity: Born again, having a good relationship and work with God. No marriage escapes battles even as a Christian but what brings you out of battles is your spiritual maturity.

*     Physical maturity: A 19-year-old has no business thinking of relationship and marriage instead focusing on their academics and skill acquisition.

*     Financial maturity: No matter how old you are, if you are still under your parents or friends to meet ends meet, you are not qualified for marriage. Marriage or relationship without money cannot escape murmuring. No money, no honey, no finance, no romance.

*     Emotional maturity: This is the capacity to handle pressure and trials. There are battles that faces every marriage. You must be able to handle it so you enjoy your marriage.

            ii.          Parental pressure:

You should never go into a marriage because of parental pressure. Your marriage can determine whether you make heaven or not. When you get married to the wrong person, you move from patience to endurance to long-suffering. Do not allow your parent to determine your marriage for you. Twenty, thirty years' time, they may not be alive to help you go through the pains they push you into.

          iii.          Child bearing:

Stop this crazy attitude for children, children, children, oh I need more children, oh this, oh that. If you die because of too much child birth after one or two years of your death, your husband will remarry. I need a boy, I need a girl, listen, children are a heritage from the Lord so do not kill yourself. If children are not coming forth, you can adopt and live a happy life.

          iv.          Material reason:

It is an error to get married because of the properties and riches of the person. Do not get married to a man because of what he drives; marry him because of what drives him. If you jilt or jilted a man of vision because he has or had no television, you will soon watch that man of vision on your television.
