Christianity is not all about celebration and jubilation, there is also time for tribulation. Test is an affliction; the test of life is a type of affliction that every believer must go through. It is so sad that believers do not want to experience the suffering of Christ but they want His prosperity.   Psalm 34 v 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.   Child of God, if you have not gone through affliction then your Christianity is still questionable. DEFENDING THE JOY OF MARRIAGE

 


“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh” Ephesians 5 :31

“This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you” John 15 :12

 

May I start by releasing a word of prophesy to as many as are ready to receive, whatever that is fighting the unity of your marriage expires today by fire. Whatever that is missing in your marriage that Satan is using against you catch fire now. God wants oneness in every marriage (bible ref: Ephesians 4:2).

When the devil wants to destroy a man, he takes away the joy and honor in the marriage. There is a satanic agenda to make marriages boring and unjoyful. Satan is not married and he do not want you to get marry. There has never been a time when Christian marriages have suffered attacks like this generation. People now see divorce as a prerequisite for peace. Divorce is not the plan of God (bible ref: Malachi 2:16; Matthew 19:9). Satan has recruited agents to destroy Christian marriages as the bible says in 2 Corinthians 2:11 …for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Ladies and gentlemen; the five most important things in life are God, You, Family, Career & Relationship. The one at the center of it all is your family, when your family is intact it will show on others, Marriage is honorable in all… (bible ref: Hebrews 13:4). Family is a gift from God to humanity.

When you lose marital honor, you lose public dignity. No matter how busy you are you won’t sleep in the office. You must come back home and as you lay your bed so you lay on it. Marriage is good but depending on how you build it. Marriage is a covenant between a matured man and a matured woman through with the seek to give and receive satisfaction and fulfillment of their destiny. The bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:20 (TPT) … but in your thinking be mature adults, so you must be spiritually and physically matured (bible ref: 1 Corinthians 3:1-4; Galatians 5:22-23).

 

To Defend the Joy of Marriage:

1.       Go for the word of God

Marriage is upheld by the word of God. Almighty God built the marriage by His word so the marriage can’t work by the philosophy of the world (bible ref: Psalm 11:3; 1 Corinthians 3:11; John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:3). If you put away Gods word you make things worse (bible ref: John 16:33). If you follow a worldly partner, you must be ready to go through tribulation, the bible says in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth…this proves us that the world has no peace.

Divorce is on a high propensity today because the word of God is not the foundation of many marriages. In Table 1 below, we see an excerpt from the unified lawyers website on the divorce rate as at 2017 as stated on. This is just to give you a rough idea on how divorce rates have increased drastically.

PRAYERS FOR MARRIAGE

a)     In the name of Jesus Christ, let every demonic third person who is igniting a spiritual fire in my marriage perish with the fire now.

b)    In the name of Jesus Christ, O God arise in your fire and declare war on my marital enemies.

c)     Agents of darkness attacking my marriage and fruitfulness, expire by fire in the name of Jesus Christ.

d)    In the name of Jesus Christ, any marriage breaker who is spreading my name for evil will perish by fire.

e)     Oh God, who shattered Ahithophel's counsel, shatter every malicious counselors in my marriage in the name of Jesus Christ.

f)      In the name of Jesus Christ, I have the wisdom of God to live in harmony with my spouse and to lock the door against home breakers.

g)    This is a special announcement! In the name of Jesus Christ, there is no place for the spirits of Delilah, Jezebel, or any other demons causing marital discord in my marriage.
